Some people take losing way too seriously.
On February 26th, Shinjuku police arrested a 39-year-old male Saitama resident for allegedly sending death threats to Square Enix employees.
Why was it that serious? He allegedly became enraged because he couldn’t win the game he was playing.

According to police, the suspect sent over 37 threats between November 2nd and 19th of last year. It’s unknown what game he was playing, though he threatened to kill the designers over “unfair rules.”
This is the latest in a string of incidents for Square Enix. In 2019, police arrested a 25-year old nursing home worker. The suspect sent an email to Square Enix’s Tokyo employees which read, “Hey staff tomorrow I’m going to kill you get ready [for your punishment].”
